Active Learning Environments

I consult schools in redesigning their learning spaces to better accommodate diverse learning needs and integrate innovative teaching methods.

For the project “Active learning environments”, I first redesigned a traditional lecture hall into an active learning classroom. Second, designed and delivered training for NU faculty to help them efficiently use this new type of classroom. Third, I supported the redesign of two courses to implement active learning and supported their transition to the recently introduced active learning classroom

Multimedia projects

I developed various job aids and "how-to" guides, as well as a series of short instructional videos. Guides cover issues related to innovative teaching and learning (e.g. Guide on Proctoring options; Flipped approach mini-guide book; Integrating multimedia resource guide, Introduction to Community of Inquiry, Educational technology eBook etc.).

Design and development of multimedia projects help me master various software applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Loom, Vyond, VideoScribe, Visme, Articularte 360, etc., but also getting familiarized with current trends and research studies around instructional design and technology.

Projects for building community

I have developed a series of posters and regularly sent them out to all faculty under the project "Morning coffee and Teaching tips" to support their transition to emergency distance teaching in Spring 2020. These posers highlighted various aspects related to teaching and learning such as building learning communities online, managing large classes online, designing effective asynchronous activities, the importance of feedback, etc.

I also partnered in producing 10 podcast episodes #NUclearpod inviting NU community members to share their perspectives on various topics from life and profession.
